Since the completion of the run over 2 years ago, my mother and I have managed to bring the total amount of money raised for The Fred Hollows Foundation to over $35000 (in real terms, the equivalent of up to 1,400 eye operations!!). That result is essentially based upon your generosity. Sincere thanks for your support.

There have been many people who have contacted me about running their own event of a similar nature. I plan to have a 'manual' placed on this website some time in 2004 which will outline a suggested method for anyone considering such a challenge.

Although busy with my doctoral thesis (www.nano.uts.edu.au/Maclurcan), I would be delighted to volunteer my services to speak at your school, community or corporate event on any topic, not limited to my run, The Fred Hollows Foundation or motivation.
